The Center's main objective in the Academic Partners program is to facilitate transfer of innovation from acedemic bodies to industry, while leveraging the unique capabilities of the Center.
The Center essentially deals with technological processes. These processes take time to establish and require up-to-date expertise. On the other hand, in contrast with innovative systems and assemblies, innovative processes are difficult to commercialize, even when they are patented.
The Center is interested in partnering with academic groups that develop relevant processes in the Center's fields of activity. These partnerships can involve licensing of patented processes, collaborative development of new processes on the Center's equipment, or subcontracting of specific processes at the academic institution's premises.
